Fifth Trial, Day One
Week 6, Day 1 ‹ Trial ›

Saturday
suspects
The time has come once more, to slip away from reality and immerse themselves in the courtroom of dreams. This time that trip happens to be into a very literal courtroom. The dolls are given spaces at the defense and prosecution's desks; facing one another. There is a table between them which contains the case's evidence.
Black, faceless spectors watch from the gallery, chanting for justice. You can hear-- among the garbled cries-- the names of all the suspects. Yuri, Rean, Merciless, Mitsuko and Mikami, as well as cries for Sting, the victim.
Naturall, Sheepy takes her place at the head of the court as their presiding Judge. Out comes the gavel and she starts banging it on the desk. The gallery slowly quiets and the courtroom becomes eerily silent, save for the sound of Sheepy's voice.
"All right, settle down... settle down~~ Court is now in session for the murder of Sting. Who is the culprit? It's time for us to find out~!"

[The doll's just asking for all the rooms with blood in it, essentially.]

[But you'll have to try and find it on your own. Anyway-- enjoy your gym, storage room, public baths/lockers and pool rooms courtesy of Judge Sheepy.]

You all say 'oh they couldn't have done it' or 'this doesn't seem like them' but do you all forget the damage that was done to the floor and that locker. If that was Sting's doing then wouldn't you do whatever you could to keep yourself alive?
This is why I believe it could easily be Merciless or Mitsuko because the length of their hair could work easiest for what was found, however. Merciless seems to have a profound respect for the dead and the body was set up in such a deliberate manner, after all.

I'm not saying it couldn't have been either of them, but I think it might be better to start focusing on the rest of the evidence first before laying the heat on them. We don't want to miss anything here.

However, I think we can all agree that the incident appears to have started with a fight in the women's locker room.

Though I'm kind of wondering about the blood found in the storage room too.

Where exactly does the sword come into this? Especially when it doesn't even look like there was a struggle near where they're usually found.

Yes, I did kill Sting. It was an ambush on my part; I laid the trail of blood outside the locker room to lure him in. I was lying on the floor as if dead. I then stuck at him with my knife, and stuck accurately and fatally at his neck. However, he had impressive vitality and immediately started fighting me, battering me multiple times, until he expired of the loss of his blood.
I then transported him to the ballroom using the means you have already surmised and cut his neck with the sword to disguise the fact that the killing wound was a knife. Out of respect, I left him as you see him.
Now I will tell you I did it, and why you should vote for someone else than me.
The injustice I saw upon my tablet was an Empty One in its natural smoke form. I will explain what the Empty Ones are and what they did to my world.
Once, my world was thriving, with billions of human and many technological wonders. Now those wonders have been lost and where there was billions, there are now a mere few hundred million. The Empty Ones, hungry for something to fill the void within their own, ate countless victims from the inside and usurped their bodies. Of the rest, many had to be sacrificed to save humanity.
I... considered the possibility that they could be lying and that they could not in fact undo that great injustice, but I could not take the chance that they were not lying. I am truly sorry.
I will understand if you wish me dead, but I do have a request that you vote for someone else, in order to save those billions that expired. If you wish, after I claim my motive, someone may slay me. I shall not refuse. If I could offer up my life to save those countless victims, I could, but as is, I could only take a life.
