The time has come once more, to slip away from reality and immerse themselves in the courtroom of dreams. This time that trip happens to be into a very literal courtroom. The dolls are given spaces at the defense and prosecution's desks; facing one another. There is a table between them which contains the case's evidence.

Black, faceless spectors watch from the gallery, chanting for justice. You can hear-- among the garbled cries-- the names of all the suspects. Yuri, Rean, Merciless, Mitsuko and Mikami, as well as cries for Sting, the victim.

Naturall, Sheepy takes her place at the head of the court as their presiding Judge. Out comes the gavel and she starts banging it on the desk. The gallery slowly quiets and the courtroom becomes eerily silent, save for the sound of Sheepy's voice.

"All right, settle down... settle down~~ Court is now in session for the murder of Sting. Who is the culprit? It's time for us to find out~!"

So what, whether or not someone deserves to die for killing another only matters to you in the context of this experiment?

Are you saying you'd rather have someone who has killed, admitted to killing one of our own, live and kill someone you only think has done the same?

You misunderstand me. Honestly, the fact that it's a binary choice is the thing that I find troublesome, since I'd rather see them both hang.

You're free to try to kill the other one later.

[Try being the key word.]

I'm quite certain Mitsuko will be in front of this sham of a tribunal again sooner or later, and Merciless can be dealt with properly if this gamble of hers doesn't pay off.

So you'd rather sit and twiddle your thumbs.

Hmph. Proper procedure means nothing to you, then? I'd bet you love vigilantes.

I respect action. Action represents strength.

Strength is all well and good, but there's plenty of merit to waiting for the opportune moment to act rather than acting simply because it makes you feel strong.

There's a difference between waiting for the best moment and doing nothing. I'd rather go out quickly feeling satisfied and strong.

That sort of impulsive action is a perfect recipe for mistakes at best and failure at worse. I suppose that's your prerogative, though.

It's also a recipe for an exciting and fulfilled life. You can't just think about doing something and wait for someone else to do it for you.
