The dream world that they enter is shrouded in darkness. What was always an everlasting night has now taken even the stars from them. The only light comes from small, floating torches that flicker. Through what little light they have to guide them, they can see a small familiar form waiting up ahead.  Coming closer, they can indeed tell that Sheepy is waiting.

Now more than ever it is important that they arm themselves with the evidence that they have collected regarding the mastermind behind all this. Because this is the only chance they'll ever get to present it. Though death has always been the risk, now it's all or nothing.

Sheepy waits for them all to join her before grinning.

"Well, well, well... here we all are. Not all that many of you left, are there? Ah-- but then... maybe there won't be any of you left after this. Keheheheheh!! So let's make the most out of this last little session, shall we? Think you have it all figured out? Well let's find out. Like you were told, you gotta name all the remaining gunmen as well as the mastermind. So. Let's begin."

Sheepy said she's a program, right? So something's gotta be running her, some sort of computer...thing.

What about Aloysius? There was a note Mikami accidentally faxed at me that said something about an operating system called Aloysius that Sandra was supposed to be providing support to.

Either way, Aloysius runs the sheep. If the sheep answers to the mastermind, the mastermind's Aloysius, yeah?

But...if Aloysius is a computer program, wouldn't someone need to run it?

[ ????? a magus from 2004 may as well be a dude from 1994, tech-wise, but she's guessing her best. ]

The, uh, notes, I guess? They sounded like Aloysius was pretty much able to make decisions for itself while it was running, based on our...data, or something.

I never thought this Aloysius person wasn't a human...

But wouldn't that explain why someone like Sandra was necessary?

[Oh thank god he's not the only one thinking this. He doesn't know much about computers but the more Sheepy talked about it the more it got him thinking that there was something to it.]

Yeah, those documents... It sounds like Aloysius is the... thing responsible for running everything? The dreamscapes, the sheep... Logically, doesn't that mean you couldn't do any of this without it?

Yeah, sounds like. Something's bothering me about that, though.

Recently, we've been able to see the sheep outside of the dream world. We've seen her in the hotel.

If that's the case, that means nothing we've done here has been real. Right? If the program's creating dreamscapes but the sheep's there when we're awake, then doesn't that mean we're all in motherfucking St. Elsewhere and this is all happening in our fucking heads?

...re-reading the documents about Aloysis... it doesn't say anything that the dreamscapes can only be made in the dream world right? I mean.... it's a program, so... why couldn't it create one in the hotel?

[He feels... REALLY STUPID saying this but. He doesn't know any reason why not, right.........?]

If the Mastermind could take care of things themselves, they wouldn't have needed to go through all that trouble to create a space for Sheepy to come over? It would be easier to just give us a person to all focus our anger on. But instead they chose to use Sheepy.

Do you think Aloysius thought they could control Sheepy better?

Those notes said something about the sheep working independently of the operating system.

...For some fucking reason. Jesus Christ, it's like the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.

Maybe she's a rogue? [ .... ] But then, I don't know why she would still be enforcing the trials like the original intent.

I think it's possible it couldn't control her but it considered her an ally...? Although... it doesn't seem that's entirely the case anymore.

Maybe Aloysius wasn't counting on that though...

Aloysius...took over Sheepy and used her for itself, you mean?

Well... I don't know if that's possible, however... if Sheepy is a part of this... operating system maybe he thought he could influence her.

It certainly sounds like it, yet the documents we have received refer to replicating the actions of the dreamscape in an awake state - the experiment would not fulfill its requirements if this was all a dream.

So we're all just fucking hallucinating instead. Great.

We're being forced to. After all they have inserted nanomachines into us to induce the dream state. Those are likely responsible for our waking experience as well.

They could have at least made it a fucking pleasant trip.

That could be possible. [ Likely, even. ] But, I don't think the staff members could see Sheepy. If we're all in the program, why can't they see her? Are they a part of the dreamscape?
