The dream world that they enter is shrouded in darkness. What was always an everlasting night has now taken even the stars from them. The only light comes from small, floating torches that flicker. Through what little light they have to guide them, they can see a small familiar form waiting up ahead.  Coming closer, they can indeed tell that Sheepy is waiting.

Now more than ever it is important that they arm themselves with the evidence that they have collected regarding the mastermind behind all this. Because this is the only chance they'll ever get to present it. Though death has always been the risk, now it's all or nothing.

Sheepy waits for them all to join her before grinning.

"Well, well, well... here we all are. Not all that many of you left, are there? Ah-- but then... maybe there won't be any of you left after this. Keheheheheh!! So let's make the most out of this last little session, shall we? Think you have it all figured out? Well let's find out. Like you were told, you gotta name all the remaining gunmen as well as the mastermind. So. Let's begin."

The hostages seem likely, given the video we were given. Did you see how the hostages were acting when you found them?

[ She takes another few moments to think, returning to the CSU camera footage. ]

I think...Ranarium might have been these students? They were attempting something with computers, and five of them were killed. But the magazine article didn't say anything about "Mia Moscovitz", did it? It only mentioned four of them, so she must have been left out for some reason.

If you answer incorrectly, the experiment will be deemed a failure. What will be done with you... ah. I'm not sure. But you might never wake up.

Hmmm... well. I guess that depends on what happens here. I wonder... My program may be shut down. Or maybe it will be recycled. Who can say.

I thought that might be it. But does that apply to getting it all correct or does it apply solely to the mastermind?

And I'm guessing abstaining isn't permitted. There have been two occasions where the wrong person was picked and chosen to die, so why are things different now?

It's not anything to do with their physical bodies or anything - those are the actual thing, as far as I can tell. They feel right, their eyes are real, the whole nine yards.

But the sheep chose to try to guilt-trip me instead of letting Myca do the work for her; she put forth a damn heroic amount of effort into trying to make me feel guilty and acted like I'd have to deal with Myca knowing what I'd done. Which I would've, if she hadn't conveniently knocked her out first. Couldn't ask her questions, couldn't get any sort of reaction out of her, she was just out cold before she was brought to me.

We've also only seen everyone on that video acting drugged - which, okay, maybe they are. But.

[...Let him go over to one of those FIFTEEN FUCKING IDENTICAL CATS that are here because why the fuck did anyone let him submit evidence. He'll pick it up, it's been pretty remarkably chill all day so he doesn't foresee any problems in doing so.]

Number Twelve hasn't really been all that lively since we made him. No meowing, no sass, no nothing. I put tape on Number Seven and he let me do it, for fuck's sake. I dunno, maybe they're just based on a real docile cat.

Or maybe printed copies are shit at acting like they should.

They...there was little to no reaction, including even from Raven. It was as if they were completely devoid of emotions.

I think it's incredibly likely that these are copies, but... I'm not sure I can believe that we're copies.

There were seven in total. Five of them were 'neutralized' while the final two pleaded to the police. If they were Ranarium it's not counting for three member, not just Mia.

... Could be that they were the group who murdered the students, rather than the other way around.

One of Mia's accomplices was someone named N. Lee.

I haven't thought a lot about it until now. I will not have a purpose when the experiment ends. But-- the experiment ending is a good thing for you all. You shouldn't worry about me. Please focus on getting out safely.

No? The cats are weird as hell, and so are the hostages. But we're not like that for whatever reason.

Ja, it certainly is a good thing. I want this to be over just as badly as everyone else here. I have quite a few things I need to do back home, after all! I have two very lovely daughters I need to return to as well.

...So no matter what happens, I will put my safety first. With that said... It seems odd to me that you should have to be a casualty in this experiment. I don't believe you're just some creation, Sheepy. I doubt you'd tell me that much if you were.
