Week 2, Day 1 ‹ Trial ›

Saturday
suspects
At 12 PM EST, once more everyone is expected to settle into their beds to fall asleep (or be made to). Therefore, it comes to no surprise that the landscape of the waking most of you leave behind shifts into that of the recognizable sort pertaining to the dreaming.
Evidence submitted appears, detailed with the notes that have been written upon them, practically suspended in the air. However, it probably is best to start talking about them to make more sense of it all...
The sheep from the dreams is here again. She's taken up her spot, watching the rest of you, who have appeared together in some kind of circle. There are no chairs or markers for everyone here, but it seems a little more like a clear spot in the jungle where a light from the dreaming night sky can pour in. It can be comparable to a peaceful, scenic gathering, if it didn't mean that someone was dead. Of course, then the surroundings shift just like last time. However-- this time the location is different. But it is not unfamiliar.
The stone structure is that of the Witches' Castle from the dream. This room, too, is circular however-- it's easily recognizable thanks to the familiar paintings. However, the witches have gone from the paintings; various doll parts stuffed into the indentations underneath the frames. But the witches are still here with you. In fact, there is a sectioned off area for them to observe the proceedings.
But right now they are all hovering in a circle around an altar. White, flickering candles light up the altar, showing that upon it lies another broken doll. Dream copies of all the evidence everyone submitted has been placed on a table off to the side along with any notes provided. As the witches begin to file away; the burns to everyone's finger are healed.
A hollow chant of the suspects' names comes from the witches -- Merciless, Keenan, Conchita, Sakura and Crow -- Only when they've all settled does the final whisper of the Victim's name -- the Grinch-- come. The chants cause the cauldron in the center of the room to ripple. And soon it's cycling through their faces for everyone to see.
The sheep just smiles and says, "Well, here we are again. It's time to talk, talk, talk!"
